Lendlease is an International property management company with offices in Central London and they recently commissioned Green Level Design to create a roof terrace and indoor planting scheme to enhance the workplace and improve the air quality.

The roof terrace is adjacent to the building's cafeteria and communal kitchen area - it provides a green space for workers to meet, eat and relax. It overlooks Regents Place, a high end development of landscaped piazzas, bars and offices.

Green Level Design worked with the previous planting scheme but also introduced several new ideas including the addition of trees suitable to the windy and sunny conditions which provide height and shade.

All low level planting included plants that were attractive and beneficial to wildlife including insects, birds and bees.

The result is a space brimming with flowers and bees and there is even a family of blue tits nesting in one of the bird boxes placed on the roof terrace - not a bad result for an office building in Central London.
