Dee's passion for gardening, along with her desire to inspire and motivate young people and children to get involved, has led her to develop various projects including this one at the Willow School & Broadwaters Children's Centre in North London. The "Grow It & Eat it" project encourages children to grow vegetables organically from seed which are then sold to the school for consumption or to local businesses. Not only are the children taught the basics of growing vegetables in a fun, pleasant and safe environment but they also learn valuable lessons in healthy eating, working together as a team and business skills.

This scheme has led on to various other projects involving local people which has helped to bring them together and create a positive community spirit.
